Crit Dates

Here is an update on crit dates.

March 26th People you know AND People you don't know. 8 prints each, 16 total.

April 9th Self-Portrait 8 prints.

April 23 Sequence/Narrative. 10-12 images slide show

April 30 Final Series. 12 prints

NO MORE 8.5x11 paper. NO MORE crappy, thin epson paper.

Tuesday the 12th...

Buy paper!
You only need 8.5X11 for the first project, but will need bigger later. You may want to buy 11X17 and cut it down.

Put money on Papercut! Make sure it goes toward Photo!!!

Put two great black and white and two great color photos on your blog. Export from Lightroom as a JPG or take photo into Photoshop to resize and resave.

First Prints

The first shooting assignment that we will print will be based on taking photos around Philadelphia. Ten photos taken on campus and ten photos taken off campus. All photos must use available light. No artificial light. If people are in the photo they can not be an important part of the composition. Five must be in Black and White.
We will discuss printing details next week.

First Round

For Tuesday February 5th...
A set of 5 pictures for Depth of Field
A set of 5 pictures for Shutter Speed
25 really great "inspiration" photos

These must all be "developed" in lightroom!

Spring 2013

This semester you will create and maintain a blog. The blog will be home to your responses to class readings and discussions, examples of your projects, interesting links and whatever else you want to share with the class. For starters, look at this list I found on line. Think about it and make a list of the things you do to stay creative.

People Crit

The crit for the "people" assignment will be October 30th and November 1st.

Five prints for each category and ten additional digital file turned in.

So 15 for Strangers, 15 for people you know and 15 self-portraits.
